Tim Walz as VP ???

Postby ashes on Tue Aug 06, 2024 12:02 pm

It's official. Tim will have the chance to do for America what he has done for Minnesota.

I'm a little surprised as I thought the young crowd did not want to see anymore old white men. I'm also surprised because our ten electoral votes IMHO are not worth the effort, we'd go blue no matter what. But maybe they can run with Tim as he's relatively unknown which is good, he has all the usual soft on crime, open borders, government monopoly on force, electricity or no power at all, men can get pregnant, and de th to Israel. He's got the right chops for them other than color and age.

Thoughts ?

I’m surprised that the Dems didn’t go with a double female ticket. They seem to want to be the “ground” beakers now a days. They may have more luck with VP female POC. My question would be did the available female picks have to many skeletons in their closet.

A friend was speculating it will make it more likely for the dems to take WIs, and Mich.
I'm surprised myself. IMO, he's as old, and white as they get.

What will another black female do for the democrat ticket? Nothing. A presidential candidate chooses a VP candidate to appeal to others that might not otherwise vote for the candidate for president. Voters who might have a problem with a non-white female might be more willing to vote for a team that also has the usual white male candidate.

Trump went the safe route and choose a VP that may be loyal to him, instead of loyal to the Constitution first. Vance also lacks the stain of actually voting for a gun grab, is not accused of rape and is not a convicted felon. This makes him far more attractive a candidate than Trump.

Walz is 60 years old, Vance is 40, Harris is 59 and Trump is 78. 60 is not all that old, to me, now that I'm rather old myself.
Since WWII, VP candidates have ranged from 40 years old (Nixon) to 66 years old (Rockefeller, Biden).

https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/text.p ... 20PRODUCTS.
ARTICLE 1
GENERAL EDUCATION
Section 1. [121A.212] ACCESS TO MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS.

A school district or charter school must provide students with access to menstrual products
at no charge. The products must be available to all menstruating students in restrooms
regularly used by students in grades 4 to 12 according to a plan developed by the school
district. For purposes of this section, "menstrual products" means pads, tampons, or other
similar products used in connection with the menstrual cycle.

I see nothing wrong with this bill.

Why Republicans are calling Walz 'Tampon Tim' — and why Democrats embrace it - NPR.org

Some Minnesota Republicans initially tried to limit the initiative to female-assigned and gender-neutral bathrooms, but were unsuccessful....

The bill’s inclusive language reflects that not all people who menstruate are women, and not all women get periods, which was important to those who lobbied for the legislation.

“Tampon Tim is hands down the best political nickname ever,” tweeted conservative commentator Liz Wheeler. “It’s so… savagely effective. In one word tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about Tim Walz’s dangerous radicalism.”

I think people need to remember that young girls might need hygiene products at any time. Having them readily available at school is a very nice thing, even if they can't pay for them.

In boy’s bathrooms?

Are there boys who menstruate?

Why are you guys still engaging with this clown? He's obviously a troll. He hates Trump, and his anti gun agenda, but seemingly praises comrade Waltz who has signed into law everything he claims Trump wants to do.
I will never apologize for being an American.

I am not a troll. Are you really going to die on the hill of tampons?
Care to quote the posts in which I seemingly praise Walz?

There are no boys who menstruate. Why do you care where the tampons are put? Surely you're not that delicate?

Well, speaking for myself, it wasn't until last year that I learned that biological men without a uterus get pregnant all the time; and all these years I not only did not use birth control but as luck would have it my health insurance never asked me to put myself on a Maternity Plan with increased rates. I guess I was playing fast and loose but in my defense, none us knew back then that men could get pregnant. I remain unsure about how we give birth; whether through the [deleted] or the penor.

I know what you are thinking. This ignorant cur is making fun of the woke position by saying men without a uterus can get pregnant when they are not saying that. He (?) must also identify as a birthing person to do even though (he) does not have a uterus but is willing to believe he (?) does and that makes it reality for him (?). Sure. I guess if some twink thinks he (?) has a uterus that makes it so for him (?) in his (?) own reality; but I wonder couldn't we just say we think we have tampons there and that makes it so for us but then again if he (?) doesn't believe the tampons are there then they aren't for him (?) but even if they are there for everyone he (?) could say that they aren't there in his (?) reality because there is no reality only the individual's assertion of it. You can understand why I have a hard time grasping this stuff and I need intelligent people like AOC and Tim Walz to explain it over and over.

This is to say nothing of the fact that I have no idea where the people in the boys' (?) restroom are applying these tampons. Up the [deleted] or up the penor? I'm sure the governor knows and perhaps on the campaign trail he (?) can explain this with a humorous story. Next, they need to post instructions on the dispenser once this is clarified.

Tim Walz's only plan for Minnesota is a plan to out-spend our income, enable and empower criminals, re-name lakes and streets, and disarm the law abiding. For starters. He also helped secure and appoint our state attorney general who is an open ANTIFA supporter. Did that play in to the riots? That's all just the tip of the iceberg for why Tim is a horrible choice for MN and a horrible choice for the nation; but a good fit for Kamala and the billionaires she represents.

IMHO it's disclever to say it doesn't matter where the tampons are because we are talking about spending tax dollars for needless and stupid things. Even worse to pivot at convenience between "men can give birth" and "men can't menstruate". If the kid wants to pretend or is genuinely mentally ill then let him steal mom's pads at home and insert them wherever he sees fit. This isn't a thing that needs to be mandated throughout the social institutions via tax dollars and compliance. It reminds me of the defund the police movement where on one hand they advocate ending police patrols then when questions they say "nobody is trying to end policing" even when sitting next to council members who are actually saying that. Makes it tough to engage in discussion with people who assert a position then explain they didn't mean what they said then they turn around and say it the way they mean it then accuse you of being a low information luddite when you merely quote what they said.
