They'd have no way of knowing if a person was depressed unless they were involuntarily committed or court-ordered to undergo some kind of mental health treatment. They don't have access to your doctor's medical records except by court order.

They don't have access to medical records NOW. But they're chipping away to get them. Starting with SS & SSD. Many Vets are in danger to, their records are available to them.
Say you take a drug for depression or whatever mental problems many vets suffer from. - Boom! Mentally unstable! No guns for you.

That part I absolutely agree with. Gun owners need to make a choice. If they don't really care about gun rights and want to vote with their union, their liberal social agenda or whatever, go ahead, but don't tell me they're on our side.

Un-huh......meanwhile, while this EO that may save "just one life" is worth it to Obozo, last month he released um...6000 some inmates from prison...some with gun related felonies!!!!! Absolutely insane!!! It should be crystal clear to everyone that this President DOES NOT CARE about saving lives and preventing shootings....he only has ONE agenda....to ultimately disarm LAW ABIDING citizens!
