Pretty much if you buy direct from the manufacturer and you buy "enough" of them, you get a good deal. Its been a while since I did it (haven't shot them all up), but I got pretty good deals from Zero bullets on jacketed bullets, cheaper than cast- but the caveat was I was buying by the ton, literally. MG will do the same thing, and they actually are a bit more aggressive as they will give discounts at pretty small amounts (ie a case of 4000) as noted above.

Another thing to look for (more common with rifle) is to look at the manufacturer's site for blemished bullets at discount. They generally have a visual appearance flaw, but shoot fine. Nosler is known for this. Occasionally Midway or some other co. gets a large lot of blems from some company and sells them as such also (midway usually doesn't ID the manufacturer though)

In plated bullets, I really like Xtreme (formerly West Coast). For a bit more money, I love montana gold jacketed bullets.

I'll admit I'm uneducated on coated lead bullets, Bayou Bullets for example, but I'm alittle uneasy about shooting them thru my Glock's with stock barrels.

Then i found this on GlockTalk's forum about Bayou Bullets: http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1509299

Thanks for everyone responding. My plan right now is to try out the 250 count box of Berry's Bullets I have and see how they shoot and perform. I defiantly have options if i don't like the Berry's bullets! I'm interested in ordering a 100pack of Bayou Bullets to try.

Thanks!

I have been using Xtremes for paper punching, mainly low power loadings, seem to work well.

Bulk Pistol Bullets

I'm working on my first 1000 of Berrys HBRN 100gr and very pleased. Very accurate in my CZ83. I also like Xtreme, this was my first Berrys purchase.

With any plated or coated bullet the crimp is very important. Too much crimp and the plating or coating will be "cut" and shear off when fired.

I have used Berry's 200 gr SWC 45's for years. IPSC & IDPA. No problem if I was very careful crimping. Not too much! Also used Precision Bullets and Bayou coated bullets the last couple years. They seem to work fine and are a little cheaper.

I buy direct in 2,000 to 4,000 shipments.

Haha, no joke. The mailman was pretty surprised at how heavy my delivery was until I explained what was in it (in my case, 3750 124 grain JHPs). Then we both agreed that MG really gets their money's worth out of that whole "if it fits, it ships" thing the post office does. :)

I've run a ton of Berry's through my Coonan 357 and my Sig 9mm. I get them from Natchez.

I just bought a 1,000 rounds of plated 147g 9mm from Everglade, haven't tried them yet.

i ended up buying Qty-500 of .380 100grain bullets and Qty-500 of 9mm 124grain bullets a week ago. I think they are due to arrive tomorrow. I'm looking forward to trying them out.
