proposed powder change?

Postby Fearless Leader on Sat Dec 28, 2013 8:47 pm

Has anybody heard a bout a push from the Obama Goverment that would require power to go inert 90 days? The idea is to stop people from hoarding ammo. :?:

This is an old recurring rumor which has been circulating around since the Clinton administration.

Don't worry about it.

Yeah even if this hadn't been declared to be bunk by the two posters above me, it doesn't pass the logic test. It'd change the entire industry surrounding ammunition, especially with regard to reloading. I can't imagine the outrage from people who buy powder by the 8-pound jug; they'd probably have to change their entire purchasing paradigm, and buying a pound at a time vs 8 pounds represents a significant cost increase. Given that the powder companies seem barely able to keep up with demand as it is (haven't been able to find either my preferred powder *or* the ones I'd like to try out lately), I don't imagine they'd be in favor of it, either...

This powder thing is STUPID, the same rumor was about primers a couple of years ago.

OP = WHY spread this rumor? Is the Forum too slow lately?

Cuz he heard it from the fat guy mumbling to his mall-ninja skin head acolytes at the local gun shop. It's true. and as the fat guy walked to his car, we was taken out by a drone strike, lasered in by one of those black UN/NWO helicopters from Canada.

Obama's power should have gone inert after 90 days.

Has anyone heard that smokeless powder has been re-classified as an expolsive, hench the shortage due to new regulations.

It was classified as an accelerante before, just read this on another forum

Might as well turn this BS rumor ridden thread into something useful:

If you want a real accelerant, come to the EFFEN Gopher Breakfast on Jan 18th and have 3 coneys with the hot sauce on them, and then a hour later you'll be going from 0 to 60 faster than a Z06 Corvette towards the crapper!!! But Oh God, they taste so good!!! :D :) ;)

Yup, it's an explosive now, so only one ship is allowed in port at any given time, it's no wonder we can't get powder :(

Crap I didn't know that! But I guess it's a good thing I've been buying a pound or 3 when I find it. I fear pretty soon they'll make no lead bullets and make everything harder to get in general. It's already here.
