DHS is here, and they look bored. More people now, overheard a one dude say " it should be a great turnout. There are some kids coming in from North that will help get the message across". Ugh.

Some Pro-2A folks are definitely here. See a few signs waiting to be opened up, few people in 2A t-shirts. No one OC'ing from what I can tell.

Message is mostly background checks.

All I've heard so far is background checks as being the single solution for all gun violence.

Bill Krause, gun owner, background check advocate, stating the NRA has changed from an organization that promoted safety and sportsmanship to promoting the sale of tactical weapons with high capacity magazines.

And we need more background checks.

Crazy guy with "Well Regulated Militia" sign is NOT on our side, and is ABSOLUTELY mandating more than simple background checks -- unless he's changed his tune from the Capitol this spring.

Interesting way to spin this. I prepare every day to protect those I care about. Not sure how taking away that right is going to help...

Now the speaker is talking about how the government is not going to take the guns. Wonder if he's been following the news in IL lately?

Only mayor they got was from Falcon Heights. He is reading the names.

There is another theme here on how congress should not be the ones to choose the gun laws to enforce. It should be up to the mayors since they know their towns so well.
