Just kidding everyone, but sure seems this way lately.

We have not increased the number of members in 2013. We're at the same number as we had in 2012.

No, the 2013 cap is the same as last year. It's just a factor of the number of folks who did not renew, etc...

Anyways my 3 son's will shre like to go shooting when we have time. Rather than just on Sat and Sun in the winter and Tues, Thur, Sat and Sun in the summer. They are also looking forward to shooting at 200 meters with there sage rat blasters. :D

What are some things that members can do that the general public can not do? I can not get onto the members rules page yet.

Well, for one...as a member you're not restricted to paper targets. You can shoot up tin cans, old veggies, Oreo cookies, etc as long as you clean up after yourself. No glass bottles or exploding targets though. You're also allowed to bring up to 3 guests with you on member only days. On days that the range is open to the public, the guests have to pay...otherwise they can shoot with you for free.

Just kidding everyone, because my renewal paperwork was lost, but my check was cashed.
It will be corrected and new paperwork issued if required, along with of copy of my cleared check.
I'm not worried, but it was fun picking on Tom T who put my envelope in the bin, after he made a paper copy of my NRA card.

I have not scheduled any work days, or attended the range, due to wife's continuing medical conditions.
If you need me to work, call me. Otherwise I prefer 200 yard range officer duty.

Unless something has changed fairly recently, guests of members shoot free even on days the club is open to the public, so long as they only shoot on ranges reserved for members only.

Except during the very busiest days right before the gun deer opener, there is typically at least one range that remains open to members only during public hours...

The handgun range has never been open to the public (not the 25-yard, the real handgun range) when I was there during open to the public times.

I just received the email as well :D

How exactly does it work with immediate family? My wife is an avid shooter as well and said she would be interested in volunteering for RO duty, etc. Can she bring guests if I'm not present?

Interesting....I just went to the OGC website and clicked the members only page and I can't find any info relating to guests of members...when they have to pay or when it's free....nothing there, that info is missing.

Does anyone know when we will find out which date we get for orientation? Or when or if we will get a confirmation of our response? After reading through some older threads about OGC new membership I get paranoid about emails being received.
