The part of this whole thing that makes me the most upset is that i was just getting started. Im a younger fella, 24, and ive always been into and around guns but have never really had the funding to make a collection. It was bad enough before the big panic and the talk of another ban, i had to save and wait and save some more to buy a gun. Im up to 13 of em and i got the scary ones (ar and ak) but i am far from completing the list of guns i want, and now its harder to find them and almost impossible to afford them!
All i can say is i hope these idiots dont get their way, and we still have the ability to buy the guns we know and love. I am aware prices prob wont ever come back to what they were, but i guess as long as we still have the option to buy and own these guns then a high price is just what i will have to deal with. A year of saving is better than a life of wishing and dreaming!

My closing statement... F@<* those select few brain dead psychotic people that ruin it for the rest of us good and fun loving people! And thank you to all those politicians and anti gun folk who walk around with there heads up there keisters and see only the negative in our great pastime and livelihood! Just wish there was a way to slap some sense into them.

Be patient, when the bluster dies down and it becomes evident these bans won't pass folks will return to their senses.

Doubt I'd get any new firearms.

I have to ask. Why are you spending money on 200+ magazines? I'm not saying you shouldn't be allowed to or anything like that, but what do you need 200+ magazines for? Isn't 10, 20, or 30 enough?

When I go to the range, I use two magazines. I keep ten loaded in my safe. I don't know what I'd do with 200 magazines besides let them sit in a box.

I think you're just wasting your money, but it's your money so carry on.

He's probably planning on selling them in the next round of panic buying.

A lot of people fear that this will happen all over again, after all, "all this has happened before, and all of it will happen again."

So... they say "if I can't get them anymore, I want more than I'll ever need"

My goal is to have 10-12 magazines for most of my firearms, with maybe a little more for my AR-15 platform guns because there's more than one of them in the safe. Maybe less for my Mosquito, since magazines for those have always been so expensive even before the panic.

I think that's a reasonable number.

I have 12 mags for each pistol.

For the XDm, 2 for spares, 2 with JHP (1 in the gun and 1 in a mag pouch), 8 for the range. If the SHTF ever, all 12 get relegated to JHP.

For the Ruger 22/45, 2 spares, 10 for the range, SHTF, all 12 get used.

Once I get the XDs which comes with 2 - 5-round mags, I'll make those spares/range mags and I'll get 2 7-round mags for use (1 in the firearm and 1 for a mag pouch) with JHP. I'll probably pick up another 4 7-round mags as well, so I'll have a total of 6 7-round mags and 2 5-round mags, which should be enough for the XDs once I can locate on to purchase.

As for the 10/22 I want, I'm hoping for some BK-25 mags, but not sure how many mags to get or what sizes they come in for that firearm. Suggestions are welcome.

Hate to tell you LT, but BCG's were in short supply before the panic buying started.

I think they're all lost somewhere in the sub-ether along with my Nosler bullet order.

Actually, quite a few places - including CDNN - had them before the panic. Unfortunately, the panic hit just after I started my build. I feel fortunate that I got a lower and a complete upper (less the bcg).

I never understood why BCG's were the weak link in the supply chain before...is it since they've got the most parts/assembly required?

Stick to the Ruger factory magazines and be happy. The 25 round mags are nice, the 10 rounders are too.

Pretty much all the other ones out there aren't very reliable and are only good for shooting at the range.

Because people have this nasty tendency to believe old myths, such as how the BCG is going to go bad long before the rest of the gun. So many people buy them up in quantity for "spares."

Not to be a prick but I did say investment. Half would likely be sold. Either to friends in need at retail value or anyone any market value.

Also, what would you do if you had a house fire or burglary or flood (you get the point) during the next panic and all of your 10 loaded mags burned up?

They only had them because they were selling them at 2 to 3x their regular price.

Another firearm I am going to buy is the Kimber 84L in a .30-06 for bigger stuff.
Donald Trump got more fat women moving in one day than Michelle Obama did in eight years.
