BIGGGG wolf taken in WI

from the e-mail i got third hand; i don't know how legit it is but if so... DAMN!!!

These incredible photos were posted at Hiawatha Bar in Junction City. I know the guy in the photo. I went to college with him. The hunter is 6'1". The wolf is 165lbs. The buck was shot as he was climbing down his stand to admire the wolf. Both harvested somewhere between Marathon City & Merrill. The hunter believes this to be the alpha male as it dwarfed in size the 5 others in the pack that gave him shot opportunities.

I believe it. I use to live over there. Some pretty big pooches running around those parts.

165lb would certainly be waaay up there for a wolf in North/Central WI, but is also within the realm of possibility. I'll believe it until it is proven false, rather than the other way around...

And on a side note, you cannot revoke a man card unless all 4 corners have been cut. Weren't any of you Boy Scouts?!
