Cheap Ammo

Hello Forum!

I am fairly new to shooting, and I'm curious where most of you purchase your ammo in bulk?

Any thoughts of getting a group together to purchase? I need 9mm and 45 ACP. I'm happy to go in for 1k rounds of each if someone wants to get a group together.

Yep, I thought the same thing about the bulk buy stuff, but quickly got into reloading. Now I shoot 3x as much as before, for ammo that costs less than 1/2 as much. So, doing the math I'm still spending more than I ever was . I'm all about quantity (and not quality?) in this example. Reloading 45acp (or any straight-walled case) is very straight forward and you can get up and running for pretty cheaply with a single stage press and the other stuff. This is what I still do, and it's fast enough for how I can afford to reload (but with the right infusion of cash, I'd get a progressive in a second!). I'm a first generation gun owner, and I literally watched a handful of YouTube videos and read up on reloading before I walked into my local reloading shop. They love talking their trade so don't be afraid to talk with them to find out if reloading is for you. Good luck!

My basement has the cheapest ammo. Reloading is a great option. You can customize the power, cost and quality for your own needs and, for the married guys, you get some quiet time away from distraction.

Depending on your walmart, they might have value packs of federal 9mm 100rds for roughly 19.95.

I completely agree, but for those who don't reload, the value packs are great.

No doubt about it.
I recommend to new shooters 9mms just because of the value packs.
Great way to get started shooting centerfire without breaking the bank.

I've heard terrible things about wolf, but the gold is brass with a boxer primer. What are your thoughts?
