looking for a free place to shoot

Postby xd ED on Mon Aug 29, 2011 12:47 pm

I don't doubt it's legal, only saying it's not mentioned. Further, given David's description, I don't think that's a place I'd go to shoot, or do anything else. I wouldn't want to be the guy hiking through the woods beyond the range when the first shots of the day were fired. Then might be a bit late to learn there's a range nearby.

Another place to consider is the Hinckley conservation club. It is about 5 miles east of the casino just off of 35. 15 bucks a year and usually nobody there. That is my goto spot. 100 yard with a covered shoot house.

It can be just over 1 hour depending on traffic and you can drop the wife off to gamble your cash away.

Not bad...how far do they push the envelope in winter?

365 days a year you can shoot at OGC.
I've been a member there for 9 years, and it is full of a great people, great facilities and one excellent picnic every summer.
I've been to the Zoo, see. From where I was standing the Lion ain't the King of The Jungle. It is definetly the Zebra.

Targets are more fun than fields. Smaller shot groups.
