Did you RTFM or the abridged interweb version.

Can you make a repeating event on our calendar? Have you even tried it? If so please enlighten me...

There is a Google Calendar "Minnesota Gun Stuff" that is very flexible. It could be embedded on the forum instead of the kludgey forum based one.

Don't we already have regular meetings at Alary's, downtown lunch, sgt. Peppers post-USPSA match, Gopher bar, and OCB?

First we need the state of MN to start issuing 'Conceal' Carry Permits.

I wouldn't consider it a disservice. More proof that we already have a strong group/following here.
why not join the fold, instead of trying to create a new one?

I was referring to the ridicule and derision; you know, the pillars of MNGT.

More likely proof there are a number of dbags here.

I disagree. I think any "ridicule and derision" was earned:

Without spending anytime learning about his audience (ie: lurking) we get this in a first post:

"... Eventually, I would build us a website (members only) where we could go and not have to weed through all the junk to get to the topics that interest us most...."

I see that as a suggestion he believes he has something superior to a site he obviously knows nothing about, as he hasn't invested the time to learn.

And then there's this curiosity: "... I don't know how long this forum has been around, but I joined yesterday and already have sold some ammo I had listed, and now a positive response to a local club start-up. Kudos to whoever started this forum...."

At this writing he has 3 posts to his credit, all in this thread...nothing anywhere about selling any ammo in his acct... :(

To me, that, along with the original post, suggests someone who either lost track of his sock puppets, or which boards he is spamming.

Are there some dbag moments hereabout? Undoubtedly.
Did this thread produce any that weren't deserved? I don't believe so.

The dbag quotient is rather high, isn't it?

Like XD Ed said, if he was serious he fails miserably at finding a niche that needs filling.

If he was a troll, he couldn't keep his lies straight.

Perhaps we've been successfully trolled then...

I still maintain that nasty responses to new folks is the rule rather than the exception. I've witnessed it many times.
