I thnk it's obvious that the old TCC and the current carryforum have a different tone. If I want serious conversation about MN carry issues, I go to the other sites. When I want to snap towels, I come here.

Do you think words are harmless or can they pose a threat?

Words are just information, and are harmless in and of themselves... but legally any words that "the actor knows or has reason to know would cause the victim under the circumstances to feel frightened, threatened, oppressed, persecuted, or intimidated" could be considered stalking and prosecuted under Minnesota statues:

A person's words can earn libel, slander, terroristic threats, and assault charges, too.

Words are important & I dare say more than just information. Words express intent & can hurt other people. Chose wisely.

There is no one here who has the balls big enough to stand in Joe P.'s (jp8775) shoes and endure the harassment, libel, slander, and stalking that he has endured in the past couple years from JR.

If it had happened to you, gyrfalcon, I doubt you would feel that words are just information & harmless in and of themselves.

The familymatters site is a direct reflection of the actual thoughts and positions of a professional writer who happens to be in jail and tells any and everyone in the media that he represents gun owners in MN.

The other site serves to distract people from who Joel actually is. While the bare legal facts of the case are relevant, so are Joel's actions leading up to his arrest.
