WTB - NEED A BUTTERFLY FOR A CHRISTMAS PRESENT

Postby goatroper on Mon Dec 06, 2010 10:44 pm

Just wondering if any one could help me out.

I am thinking that in a large group of gun enthusiast type people, there has to be a few, good quality butterfly knives just sitting in the old sock drawer, that have not seen the light of day for a long time

I would really like to get a Benchmade 42 or similar. Not looking for collector grade, just a good flipper.

All the new ones I see are either pure junk, or just crazy in price.

Thanks for any help in this matter .

Wow, I had no idea they charge 200 bucks for them now. When I got mine back in '93 it was about $80.

I was hoping to not spend more than a $100 - $125, if it is going to be more than
that then it just wont happen.

I picked up a Bradley Kimura last month for $80. Smooth and great build quality. Handles are thinner than a 42 and I don't think it is as comfortable as a 42, but for the money it's a good deal.

Saw that they just came out with the Kimura 5, will wait till I see what they do with 6 and 7.

After looking around some I found that the movie "Kick Ass" really drove the price up on the 42's, not to
mention Benchmade also stopped making them at the same time.

Oh well, will just put it on the long finger.
