Yeah, yeah... I heard the Mosin Nagant is no longer currently being produced too and that makes a hill of beans... wait...umm you're still wrong! I can get a Bond Arms Deringer in .45 GAP. :rotf:

So do you think Glock will go and make a pistol chambered in .45 SAP? :D

So the gun my dad won was a G17. He has decided that he wants a 45 as he does not have any other pistols. He worked a deal with the gun shop to trade straight up for a G21. Thanks for all the input and advice :D He is pumped and I can't wait to take him to the range.

a standard 21 or 21SF? Did he hold one before he agreed to the trade?

a standard frame, he held it at the shop and liked it. To be honest I think he would like any gun at this point. He doesnt and probably wont shoot that much. Just something to carry in the woods hunting and stuff.

Congrats to him! A straight up trade was a great deal.

He should be happy with the trade. I have a Glock 21SF that I use for USPSA and honestly love it (well the ambi-magazine release can be a slight headache due to the fact it doesn't reliably drop the magazines completely but that's not a problem for most usage).

Edit 2010-12-07 14:22: Ambi-magazine release, not an ambi-safety.

I made the mistake of not mentioning the .45 GAP round and it sort of killed the thread.

I don't own a G21, but since GLOCK pistols do not have external safeties, I'm assuming you meant ambidextrous magazine release?
