GLOCK Shoot at OGC

Postby BirdShooter on Tue Jul 20, 2010 8:52 am

I've been looking at the GSSF site (http://gssfonline.com/) and the shoot at OGC this weekend. Has anyone been to one of these and is it a good shoot? Does anyone have any suggestions about gear (other than the Glock pistol), etc?

TIA

It's a good shoot. I would go on Sunday rather than Sat... Much less people. All you need is your glock, ammo, and some water/sunscreen.

We get to shoot glocks? Cool. I'm all over that.

I can't think of a better target. 8-)

I'll probably go Sunday, crowds dwindled by then. It's a great shoot.

Per division entered: 81 rounds minimum, 100 is a good number.

I'm going to shoot Amateur Civilian and Sub-Compact. I'll bring 200+ rounds. You're never allowed more than 11 rounds in your pistol during any of the stages.

Example: Glock the plates, they'll be six steel plates 21 feet away. You'll have a maximum of 11 rounds to knock down 6 plates. There is no reloading during a stage. You will be penalized for any steel left standing. You will shoot this course of fire four times. All stages will start at the low ready position. There is no holster or magazine work while on the clock.

On "Glock the Plates" last year you can have a full mag... I even saw someone with a 33 round mag last year...
I see the sheet says 11 this year.

You can have as large a magazine as you wish, but you may only have 11 rounds total in gun. This has been the case since day 1. If someone shoots more than 11 shots they are to be penalized or dq'd. If someone was allowed to shoot more than 11 it was the fault of the RO.

If you are shooting Major Sub, you are restricted to 7 rounds in the gun.

I think this year I am going to ask them to paint the plates before I shoot that event. They were just a little hard to see last year without paint on them.
