They had signs taped to the displays down there restating the rules for renting guns. I can't remember the wording exactly, one stipulation was that the renter had to be over 18 years old. I forget the second rule. The third rule is that there now must be two people on the lane in order to rent a gun. Is that new?? I know I've been in there in the past and rented when I was alone.

second rule is you need a permit to purchase, or a carry permit..

And it does say at the bottom that the range officer can make exceptions to the rules.

Cash cow or not, if I were Bill's GS after this recent incident I'd be tempted to stop renting guns entirely.

Their new regulations sound reasonable. Although more difficult to use, the service is still available.

I hope.

You just have to bring in the 20 you own and show them that you already have plenty available, you just want to rent one to try something new ;)

I think it might be better to take the opposite tack. Bill's is an old friend, and he is hurting right now.

Let's throw Bill's some more biz if we can. Maybe everybody could make an extra effort to go to the range?

Can you shed some more light on this comment? Do you mean financially or because of this suicide?

I copied this from their website on the rental page:
Rentals are available for persons 18 years or older.
All ammunition dispensed to a juvenile must be expelled during their range visit.
Must have a valid permit to purchase or permit to carry and/or be in a party of two or more.
Some exceptions do apply, see range officer or salesman for details.

To clarify, I meant that if I were making the decisions at Bill's, I'd be tempted to stop renting guns, cash cow or not.

This will not affect my patronage (sparse as it may be).

When I started going there (when I got into shooting again) 2 years ago, those were the rules.
Defend yourself.
Defend your family.
Defend your beliefs.
