Trade done...

Postby Rodentman on Sat Apr 02, 2011 6:18 pm

I successfully traded my Taurus M94 for a BNIB S&W 617 6". Kicked in $550. Figure I came out OK especially since I never liked the Taurus. Hard to like a gun I could barely shoot DA. I consider it a MLK Jr deal, "Free at last, free at last. Good God Almighty free at last!"

Nice! I need a 617 6" to match my 686 6". I love S&W revolvers.

I am an accountant at work, and the "Learning About Money" placemat was on my wall at work where I had hoped it would serve as humorous guidance to people turning in expense reports. Didn't do any good at work. It has migrated to my reloading bench, having no significance in particular.

You know what.......you are right. It was out of place for me to make my comment. Please accept my apology. I have edited my post to only include the comment that really mattered.
It is a fine firearm.

No harm done. I daresay with every purchase, especially in a trade situation, there will always be a better deal somewhere. I know I pay more than I should, sometimes, since I am impulsive, and like the have the item in hand, and wrap the deal.

I am sorry if I am overly sensitive.

Yeah, definitely a big step up! I bet that'll be a tack driver. And you would've just blown that five hundred on the mortgage or something anyway.

Fortunately, I no longer have a mortgage so that frees up fun money. Hope to get to the range in a couple of weeks. Thurs is eye surgery so no lead fumes for awhile.
