So - i've had a cheap truglo red dot sitting here forever with no use so i decided for fun to see how many rounds out of the 44 mag it could handle before the end. as you can tell from my incredibly clever toosie pop parody above, it wasn't long until the results you see below.

I guess you never know.... I had (still have) a cheap NCStar 2-7X scope that survived a 44 Desert Eagle and a 308 Lone Eagle pistol.
Hard to beat for less than 50 bucks.
