It was a struggle with the cold, wind and snow, but got a camparison shoot done today on two 45 XDs's, one pre-fix and one post fix.
The pre-fix gun has approx 2 boxes through it, the post-fix gun had 6 boxes through it before and 2 after the fix.
Tried to do a blind comparison. Knowing my own serial, I covered both with a blanket and inserted a mag in one, gave it to my tester while I loaded the other mag into the other gun. Took both guns back, repeated the procedure 2 more times. He liked my post fix gun better all 3 times.
I showed him the serial number ID process, and we changed out, and he did the same for me. I was able to identify my gun, and preferred it. Had his gun had more rounds, I think it would have smoothed out, but after now 3 boxes through post fix, I can definitely say my trigger has improved with shooting it, becoming less gritty and the pull seems to be lighter than initially post fix.
No firing issues with either, but then tore both down for a thorough cleaning.
From my own experience, I'm glad I sent it.
Your mileage may vary.
