back during the "first panic" i ordered a kimber with some non-off the shelf options. i think it took 8-10 months. long time to wait but worth it.

sold it like a chump when my ferret on crack kicked in for somerthing else. one of the few i miss.....

Awwww... Poor sawgrass!! All she has to play with is a Guncrafters SS Commander and about 5 other high end 1911 pistols for a year!! Sob, sniffle, sniffle..... I've been waiting for a Coonan for about 5 or 6 years now - it isn't the ordering time in my case, it's having a spare $1500 to blow on something cool.

I upgraded that gun with this one. The Bill Wilson Carry CCO has completely filled any desire for a CCO. Likely will buy only Govt. sized 1911 from here on out.
Sam buy the Coonan if you really want it. Life is short at best! I saw a .357 at Bills in Hudson on Monday.

You got a full sized Guncrafter, or did you trade the commander in on that??

I sold the NN CCO and bought the Bill Wilson Carry CCO. Then after closely following the path of the Govt. NN in the pic which is one of the original three
SS Govt. NN's that Alex built I persuaded the owner to sell it to me. This is the only one with a polished side slide. I love it. It's is a shooter!

I think sawgrass has discovered a much better addiction than shoes or purses. You sink $3,00 into a Prada purse, and the best you can get for it used is 10% - 20% at a consignment store. With it being a seller's market right now for handguns, you could conceivably make a profit. That Guncrafters Commander was the FIRST one produced in SS, and I clued sawgrass in to get a letter from Alex Zimmerman stating that. So you can get rid of one for what you paid for it, and get another for no net cost!!

I know it's off topic but why does this happen? I get delayed a few minutes for manual verification every time I get a transfer or make a purchase.

I have a very common last name.

Funny, it was less than nine hours from that point to having a working gun for me.

Just over 4 months.

I placed my order for my Baer Custom Carry in November, and got it in March.
