Seems pretty similar to a .300 WM, and it’ll definitely recoil like a magnum with 80 grains of powder and 200 grain bullets. Probably not a ton of fun to shoot a lot of.

With a RPR Magnum, you can switch barrels and bolt-head between cartridges with a GO gage and a couple of wrenches.
Did you ever try or research a 280 AI ??? Less recoil, 185/195 max weight, 1:8.5 twist, and have fun with lighter loads.
Wanna buy a 25-06Rem ??? I'm getting 3372 fps with 115 grain Nosler BT's (and might go higher with WS2).

Actually, the joke is as follows:
The .308 hits a wall at 800 yards, falls to the ground, and has to Walk the other 200 yards to the target. I told that joke to our good buddy GoodDoctor..... We all got a good laugh.
BigDog58 wrote:Bearcat, just thought you might like to also look into the .300 WSSM. I don't know the felt recoil (I've never personally fired one) but I know there are several top shooters in the Benchrest (IBS) that shoot this round, with good success at the 1000 yard targets.
