Hi all. Found this forum when doing a search and thought I'd join in. Looks like a great place to hang out, like the discussions already. I'm a lifelong Minnesotan except for two years spent in the United Kingdom, which is every bit as hellish for the shooting sports lover as one would think it would be.

I'm an all-around hunter and I like to shoot just to shoot as well. A couple of quick fun facts:

- I've been hunting deer exclusively with a handgun for over 10 years now. I've bounced around as far as caliber, but currently I'm using a Contender in 7-30 Waters. Great fun and a real eye-opener as far as changing the dynamic of the deer hunting game.

- I love to shoot rifles and I'm a varmint and predator hunter. Fast and flat! That's the way I like my rifles. I do 1-2 prairie dog trips every year and I hunt coyotes and bobcat every chance I get during the season.

- I can't leave well-enough alone. I'm always messing around at the reloading bench, either I'm cranking out varmint rounds to replenish the supply, or I'm cooking up test batches.

- I just crossed over to the dARk side by ordering up my first AR. We'll see how this goes. They look like fun, but I'm also used to hitting things the size of a beer can at some pretty long ranges, so we'll see if I can get the reality to match the hype.

Good to meet you all.

Welcome from Osceola, WI.

Let me know when you want to move up to a 50BMG for a P-dog gun.

And I do a little bit of reloading occasionally.

Ah, Morris, MN. That was the big city to me, once upon a time. We lived in Cyrus from 1978 to 1983. Miss those days.
