20 Million is 20,000 1k bricks. If you have 10 bricks to a box and 150 boxes on a pallet. You're dealing with a donation of around 14 pallets. Which is 1 or 2 trucks loaded with .22lr.

I don't think that's really going to effect the market.

There are around 4000 Walmart stores nationwide. So with 20 million rounds you could put 5k rounds on the shelves of each store, and it would be gone tomorrow.

Thank goodness such a good company is right in our backyard. I don't know that I would be as into shooting sports if it hadn't been for Tomahawk Scout camp and their rifle and shotgun ranges.

Good cause.

... in case there was any confusion ... the way I read this is, they're not "donating" ... they're "allocating" ...

... still nice of 'em, to think of the children! ... jest clarifying!

Like you know. Getting retail .22LR right now requires time-consuming trips to retailers, and being in the right place at the right time...or paying some exorbitant price from the secondary market. BSA, 4-H and FAS classes were all hurting for ammo with the recent run on all calibers. Looks like this scratches that itch. Ammo companies haven't donated ammo to these programs for quite some time now. Seems like providing it at a pre-panic discount is a fairly magnanimous move.

You seem....skeptical of this for some reason? Whats the problem here?

I'm just happy to see that Boy Scouts, 4-H, etc. still do activities that involve firearms. With the misplaced paranoia and 'zero tolerance' going around in schools these days (kid gets expelled for pointing finger like a gun, etc.) how long can these other organizations go before the whiny-ass anti-gun bastards start pressuring them to give firearm up? We need to work hard towards continuing youth involvement to show everyone the merits and enjoyment of firearms sports.
