This is one of best compliments we can get, thank you. I am not sure what your contact was with us but this is what we strive for, great customer service. If it was with me about a Huldra, I can't match the screen name sorry.

We know the firearms and ammunition area is growing so we are looking at all sorts of stuff. I know the boss would be mad if I let all the cats out of the bag but so you know, we are listening and hear you, and on top of that, appreciate your feedback!

I was chasing one of the stainless steel Rossi / Braztech - Taurus Model 92 lever action rifles in .357 and having trouble finding it anywhere in town, sent a message to you guys via the "contact us" link on the website and I got a response the next day thanking me for the suggestion and informing me that it would be sent to the gent who does firearms buying for consideration when he returned from SHOT.

I've since gotten mine (mail order) but if the responses in my "looking for" message thread here is an indication I think it would be a steady seller, they don't seem to stay on the shelf or in stock anywhere real long and the price is right ($499 MSRP, $450-$460 street).

This is great news, it was always a huge pain in the arse to try and see what was in stock at Lakeville, the display of scopes was right in the way, and you had to crane your neck to try and see what was there. Good stuff!

Very good news to hear, I will be buying ammo from FF once again. Thanks! If I could make a suggestion, I would like to see more gun cleaning / maintenance supplies. Last time I was at the Oakdale store the selection was rather small...

There is no problem with Gouger Mountain having pistol ammo out on the shelves, because once you see the obscene price you will pass out from shock and won't be able to buy it!!

I find Bills prices on Ammo just as bad if not worse, $25 for 5 Remington slugs that are $12 everyday at Fleet Farm, $35 for a box of Hornady 380 that run $20-22 everywhere else, no thanks.

Yeah, Gouger Mountain's prrices in Woodbury are so high that I think I may askTootsie to do a price comparison between the most popular kinds of ammo we sell at OGC and Gouger Mountain. OGC is definitely not Fleet Farm, and our ammo prices are not cheap but there's no concerted effort to screw our paying customers, and there is the convenience factor of being able to buy ammo from us and be back on the line in 3 minutes. I'm really wondering if OGC might be CHEAPER than GM with their sky-high prices.

Anyways, I've been very happy with FF's service and selection as of late. You guys even gave my dad a raincheck and honored the sale price on those 642's you had awhile back. Outstanding service! I'll be sure to stop by next time I need handgun ammo.

The laws of supply and demand will get you every time. Which makes me think that either Gander is moving their ammo to naive consumers despite their prices....or the store is so large that some idiot hasn't done an Inventory turnover analysis.

Thanks again guys for the support. Our sporting goods department continues to grow so Ill not your suggestions. Im not sure how the Fleet Farm Full Metal Jacket suggestion will go but I will pitch it to the bosses! For the locations that still have ammo behind the counter it may be for a variety of reasons, but regardless the bagging and tagging is done.

Im not sure how the Fleet Farm Full Metal Jacket suggestion will go but I will pitch it to the bosses!

Go to the Brian Enos forums and look at how those guys argue back and forth about the best deal on either montana gold, Precision delta, barry's bullets, or zero bullets. Plus, 3 of the 4 companies can barely keep up with orders so they are backordered for months. Everyone is looking at how to shave a penny off of bullets, since they are most expensive component in the reloading process. Plus the shipping is painful due to the weight.

I wonder if Federal would bite at this partnership, with them being local...Don't know if they make bullets however...This would be a way for them to get a piece of the reloading market without undercutting their brand (since it would be under your name).

A local supply that could also take mail orders? You would move product locally and nationally, especially if you were competitive with those other online bullet companies above. You wouldn't even need any marketing because it would go viral once people found out. (You could always sponsor me too for the idea, I'll work for product. )

I was just at Fleet Farm in Oakdale this past weekend. Ammo is on the floor... but they don't have much of a selection. They also sell handguns as well. I was like . Prices dont seem too bad. G23 going for $545.

I went to FF off Lexington Ave yesterday but discovered handgun ammo is still behind the counter. Did I miss something?

Stopped by the Brooklyn Park Fleet Farm yesterday, and sure enough, handgun ammo has been moved to the floor.

The handguns could be displayed better though. Too many crammed in to a small area making it difficult to view the whole gun.

I went to the Blaine FF recently and that's my only comment. The rest of the sporting goods area was well laid out and they had an amazing selection of most things. The store was clean, well lit, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable but the handguns definitely look like an afterthought. not surprising since the displays and store design predate FF selling handguns.
