LOL, Chinese USPSA Race Gun THRILLER

Postby Snowgun on Tue May 31, 2011 8:18 pm

I was looking for a clip of Zombieland's Rule #2 (Double Tap)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDJedaxA2eU

And I ran into this little gem:

I almost choked on my beverage. :D We should rent this and have a movie night.

What begins as an innocuous entry into a gun competition eventually steers Rick towards a path of fatal rivalry. With extensive training, Rick emerges as one of the finest shooters in town. Three years down the line, four members of a G4 unit have been murdered; the suspects clear out any possible evidence. A top CID officer, Miu, narrows the suspect list down to just Rick, whom he had met in the shooting arena on the final day of the gun competition three years before...

It's official, race guns are cheezy.

Finally a movie where everyone DOES have to walk around with an empty gun and only just before shooting the bad guy they will work the action to show they are serious. :D :D

Ya can "save" it ... I would guess, once 'nuff folks "save" it, they'll actually stock a couple. Image

I acquired the DVD of the movie some years ago on one of my numerous trips to Asia. The DVD is coded for Region 3 and can only be played on a region-hacked DVD player. The dialogue is entirely in Cantonese, but English subtitles can be switched on. I do not know if a Region 1 (US) version of the movie is currently available.

There is a very interesting "extra" on the disc that extensively documents the firearms training the principal actors went through in preparation for the filming. The training was provided by a couple of renowned local IPSC competitors, and concluded with the actors actually being put through live courses of fire in simulated IPSC competition.
