Secured but quick access long gun storage

What's a good option for keeping a home defense weapon secured but available on quick notice? Something that might mount on a bedroom wall or in a closet?

I purchased a product called Shot Lock for a Mossberg 500 shotgun. I haven't mounted it yet. Was planning to attach it to the inside of a walk in closet above the door. I haven't decided if that is a good spot.

Have one for shotgun and one for AR. Very quick access and not as expensive as some other options.

Does the shotgun one require an open chamber same as the one for AR? I looked at these but it seems like one would be making a lot of noise to get the gun ready to be used.

I have one of these Lockdown MAG Well Lock that I use when I have an AR in my vehicle. Not perfect and wouldn't stop a determined thief, but enough to stop a snatch-n-grab. Relatively simple and easy to remove.
Amazon says they are currently unavailable.

I have an older version of the Rapid Safe (see Currahee's post) that is just a key lock.
Doesn't look like the model I have is available anymore, but would think someone would still make something similar that would be a bit more budget friendly.

Yes it does. For both.

Thanks all! "Wall lock" is the term I wanted to search for, and I now have several options.

I keep my home defense gun mounted next to the line of robe hooks in my closet. Put the barrel at the same height as the rest of the hooks and hang my ratty a** old robe on it and no one is the wiser.

I really doubt any thief is going to go digging under that...On second thought, I may go and find a pair of holey skid marked boxers to hang on the top of the robe.

Without going into detail, 'hiding in plain sight' is my method as well.

I was pretty much set to get one of those Arma15 locks, but I like being able to store it with a closed bolt and inserted mag so I like the Shotlock better. It looks like the Hornardy Rapid Safe AR Wall Lock is discontinued for some reason...

You can still get the Hornady Wall Lock for shotguns but it does look like their AR model is discontinued. Dang that would have been perfect. And no one makes a similar product??

The ARMa15 video glosses over how long it would take to actually get the combo lock open first.

I'm open to further suggestions.

I don't think my walls would accommodate one without some seriously expensive remodeling beyond the cost of the safe itself.

Okay, here's one possibility: ShotLock makes wall locks primarily for shotguns but if this link isn't out of date they have one for ARs too, the AR 200M. Whaddyall think?
