Thanks selurcspi and Chinakay for organizing the event. Anything that brings members of our group together is good. We had a great group of folks there. I enjoyed being there and meeting you all. And, you are all welcome in advance for helping lower the bar. Just look out next year. :P

'Cause I'm a visual kinda guy:

Edited to put that JAC714 guy in his place -- geez, if he comes forward and points out his own lower score... maybe some of those submarine stories are true!

And also to try a transparent background and smaller file size. Which makes me realize this is the only audience with the mixture of steel shooters and computer geeks such that the image file type itself is humorous.

You reversed Rothman and I. He was faster.

I second that also, thanks so much. This was my first competive event, which was very evident on my first station. Things were much better after I got the jitters out of the way and calmed down. It was very good learning experience and definetly gave some things to work on. It was great meeting everyone and I will certainly be planning on participating next year!

Thanks for one last shoot this year. I learned an important lesson too: you, apparently, have to clean the mag well of your gun if you want the man vs man to go well

Hmmm...would you mind cleaning mine as well... :D

I learned an important lesson too: two objects cannot exist in the same space at the same time (although some science guy may have already discovered this). If you stuff your holster full of fleece jacket, you cannot also properly stuff it full of the gun it is intended to retain, and surprising things may happen  A timely teaching as Old Man Winter approaches...

A big thanks to Benny and China for doing these.
I know how much work they are to set up.

If you've never shot the Steel match up at MTKA Game & Fish in the spring, I suggest everyone look into it next year if you enjoy steel shooting. We typically use the same courses of fire of the original steel challenge that you may have seen on Shooting USA or Shooting Gallery. We will shoot 8 courses of fire and you will be there all day from 8:00 am to at least 4:00 pm, with a supplied lunch. You can also shoot two different divisions to double the fun. There's even a couple of .22 divisions.

They usually don't announce it until March or April but I just wanted anyone interested to get a heads up and I will post info when it's available.
Yeah, but I shoot with THIS hand.

The shoot was a lot of fun and learning for this beginner. Extremely well organized and safely handled.

Hats off and thank you for a great time!
