Joe, remember when you had to paste your own targets? LOL
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Might want to get that looked at and start using a rubber glove so you do not spread what ever you caught.

so the winter leauge going to be any FRIENDLIER this year? i showed up to this once because i figured it would be a good laid back way to get into the sport and learn a little more about the structure and rules and whatnot. wrong. dead wrong.

i had a sig 220 and the guy running the show got into my face because i signed up for single stack and he said i couldn;'t shoot it because my gun wasn't a 1911. i barely knoew what was going on i didn't realize it was such a prestigous and structured event. i tried to ask what the rationale was, and all i kept getting was arrogant bitchy comments talking down to me that my gun wasn't "legal" or "sanctioned" as a 1911 and i couldn't shoot in that category.

what a way to attract new shooters to the sport. pissed me off so bad i never went back.

hope the rest of you guys are a bit nicer to the newbies.

lotsa folks use P220's in single stack ... probly the best gun out there, fer it!

first off, I'm sure it weren't Mike ... some guys like to pretend they're "in charge"! ;)

second, whomever it was probly had ya pegged as ya walked in the door, as the sensitive type! :(

third, he might've even known who ya were! ;)

if yer testes ever descend, and ya wanna give er nother go, lemme know! ... I'll hold yer hand! ... no hugs, though!!! :|

That's 180° from my first, or any experience at the Burnsville league.
I was new to action shooting, and everyone I dealt with was patient and helpful.
If my schedule allowed, I'd be there more than once or twice a season.

I don't know the official rules re what qualifies for SS, but Burnsville is more relaxed(other than safety) than a sanctioned USPSA match.
Maybe try it again...this time bring a 1911 :P
