i spent a solid hour at Ammo Craft this afternoon

and let me tell you, Ron is a stand-up guy. he's crude and abrasive, vulgar and witty. i wanna drink a beer with that man.
i got the Modern Reloading 2nd Edition by Richard Lee from him, as well as a few supplies i'll be needing in my adventures in reloading (primers, powder and projectiles). i'll say it, folks, GunStop might be the greatest place on Earth for reloading, but i think i'll be going back to Ron at AmmoCraft again and again.
good meetin' you again,

Ammo Craft is located on Shady Oak Rd. and Main St. in Hopkins (sits in a little strip mall next to Chalet Pizza). I don't know if they still do this, but they used to offer beginner classes on reloading (classes are conducted in the pizza place before they open for business in the morning). This is actually the store (and class) that started me down the path of reloading some years back. +1 a great little diamond in the rough.

Yes, they do still offer free intro to reloading classes. I attended one in February.

Just picked up a bunch of stuff from him also and had him order a couple lee parts that would have cost me a bunch for shipping if I ordered direct, like $10 for $4 part.

Great guy to BS with also :)

AN FYI - when we were both youngsters that is also where John boy started working and I started reloading. They have moved 3 times since then and of course John is now on his own at Gunstop.

Yeah, Ron's pretty cool. I wanted to stop in there today, even drove past it, but unfortunately I didn't have time.
