Re: Immigration

One of my friends is/was in management at a local textile shop. His problem was the illegals would come in for a job with a driver's license and social security number. He would hire them and start paying them and withholding FICA and taxes from their paychecks. The SSA knew that the SS# was bogus ...

Re: Immigration

If you've been on the fence about the immigration issue, this video will give you some facts to form an opinion. It will take ten minutes to watch, but IMHO I think it is worth the time or I wouldn't have posted it. That stuff seems about right but, who is this guy? I think this is happening all ov...

Re: Post - Bill's Shooters Show

I am betting that it was a paid appearance by KSTP, it seems that all their remotes are at places that buy ads on their station. I am not saying this is wrong, but rather pointing out that if the station/personality was not being paid he/she would be in their chair at the studio. :) It was good to ...

Re: State Fair Bull Escape

If they shot the bull's face he may have been blind and that would explain why he hit the hydrant. Also if he was bleeding to death from gunshot wounds, his eyes would go before his feet. I've seen deer run full speed into trees after the've been shot while running full tilt. But the article didn' t...

Re: Very Lucky.

I just cannot believe it. I bet he would swear up and down that it wasn't his fault.     Damn gun just went off by itself. People should know not to stand in front of a gun. Gun sometimes sticks and hides an extra cartridge. It's not supposed to hold that many bullets...

Re: Not Minnesota specific, but definitly political

I'm ashamed to say that I only scored a 36. But I may be getting soft in this, the early fall of my life. I even find myself reading Dick Ungers posts and once in a while saying to myself "That makes sense" :D And this is how it all starts...in a few years you'll be eating quiche', savin'...

Re: Laser sights

Lasers are great on a snubbie. I don't think they likely to be used in a sudden self defense situation, but you could probably do a head shot at a fair distance. I've used mine to kill coons and skunks and even a beaver in the water ( headshot at 35 yds.) I do carry a gun with a hammer so I can shoo...

Re: Slug Zone for deer season only?

The DNR is reportedly considering allowing rifles in the South if used from tree stand, to increase the number of hunters. Actually, the ballistics on something like a 12 ga Partition Gold slug are about like the 45-70. There was a case by Benson about 10 years ago where a stray slug went about 520 ...

Re: The Second amendment gun ruling could fire blanks

The new Court may be more favorable in interpreting the Second Amendment, but the new Justices are also State's Rights supporters. If the SCOTUS accepts the case they probably will limit their decision to DC (which is not a state), to avoid matters not before the Court. But they will probaly have a ...

Re: Not Minnesota specific, but definitly political

I think there are a lot more liberals on here than is commonly believed. Gun rights are more of a libertarian vs authoritarian issue. The current Democratic leaders are real authoritarian liberals and very anti gun. But it is a myth that guns are purely a conservative issue. And the current "co...

Re: Any Licensed Wal Marts Out There?

The BATF rules make guns unprofitable because of employee training costs. They make more on a hunting coat than a shotgun and no employee costs except unloading the container of pretagged coats and scanning at the cash register. I sort of like real gun stores with employees who know more than how to...

Re: Attention TC Carry refugees...

Coming over here. Phorvik's site is down, and I can't get on Bill's for some technical reason I can't figure out.

It appears a lot of people have managed to regroup.
