Re: copper plated load data

The manufacture doesn't say to use lead data. The ranier lead safes say too. I'm using extremes. the data straight out of the lee reloading manual is starting load 15.2 of aa #7 at 1.575 OAL with a 240 gr copper plated bullet at around 1220 some feet per second. I'm using the minimum end. The manua...

Re: copper plated load data

If the manufacturer says to use lead data, then that's probably what you want to use.
Quick question though - Why are you trying to push those bullets so fast?
I would think someone would want to use the plated bullets for cowboy loads to try to cut down the smoke over regular lead.

You can have a GLOCK in any color you want.

Yeah, Ron's pretty cool. I wanted to stop in there today, even drove past it, but unfortunately I didn't have time.

Re: CMP Service Grade M1 Garands Available Again

An M1 Garand from the CMP is a phenomenal deal -- and its not really too hard to get. MN DNR Firearm's Safety course counts (if you still have your card)...a carry permit counts....a C&R counts. Don't forget, if you attend one of the Clinics at Post 435 or other range, they'll teach you about t...

Re: Need some help reloading....

If you haven't read everything and you don't know how to set up your equipment you do not "have enough know how" IMO. The books and instructions with your dies should tell how to set things up. If you rephrased your question along the lines of "I just started reloading and I have ques...

Re: ultrasonic cleaning or tumbler?

IMO for 9mm the vibratory tumbler kit from Cabela's is good enough. All you really need to do is get the majority of the grit off the cases and you can do quite a few at once.

Re: Here we go

I saw your post, you said you mailed your paperwork the Monday before 1-4-12. You're already fretting about not being able to shoot it. So, in about 5 weeks I'll be wanting to hit the range? I'm torn, I want a perfect rifle to collect, but I want a used rifle to shoot. Aw hell, I want one of each. ...

Re: Here we go

I sent off for one the day before they showed service grades back on hand. I got a field grade with what looks like a pretty decent barrel on it. Wood's a little rough and the finish is nearly gone on a couple areas.
I haven't been able to shoot it yet

Re: dumb AR question... building a pistol lower

I had read somewhere that receivers were supposed to have been transferred as "Other" since 1968. It was only a few years ago that the ATF sent a reminder or revised the form or something.

Re: Winchester M-22 ?

Had pretty much the same experience. For me, the Remingtons worked fine until about 75-100 rounds in when the action got so dirty that I had ejection problems. Mostly stovepipes.
This was also in a 795.
